On 8th April 2015, in the Pepsi IPL 2015, Kolkata won the match against Mumbai Indians by 7 wickets and the hero of the match was Surya Kumar Yadav. He played the innings of 46 off 20 balls including 5 sixes and 1 four. He was remaining not out for the match and due to his splendid innings, he collected appreciation from his team members and the crowd. At the presentation ceremony, he collected the maximum sixes award as well as man of the match for his immense effort.
